Come To Me
From the RPM 2007 Challenge album, "Monochrome Heart." I wrote this when I was 17, for the lady who is now the love of my life. She didn't know it was for her, until I recorded it for RPM. It's kind of a soft-rock ballad.

Desperado
Theme song for my Western novel series of the same name (which can be read in serial format at kaistarr.com). It's a "built" song, using all Apple loops, and I like to think it has a bit of a spaghetti Western feel to it.

Down On The Brazos
From the RPM 2008 Challenge album, "Raw." It's a country blues song that I wrote while sitting on the bank of the muddy Brazos River in central Texas. It was dark and I was drunk and the river gave me this song.

Nobody Home
Did this one for my RPM 2008 challenge album, "Raw." This was the first time I'd ever sung the song, and it was done in one take. It didn't even have music, until the night I recorded it. I think the church bells... (more)

Let Me Go
Another minor blues tune, kind of an old style. I was thinking of stuff like "St. James Infirmary Blues" when I wrote it. First recorded in February of 2007, for the RPM Challenge album, "Monochrome Heart." And yes... (more)
Find My Way Back To You
Recorded in February of 2007 for the RPM Challenge album, "Monochrome Heart." I have no idea where this song came from. I was futzing around and sort of got into a lonesome country kind of spot. This is the result. It's about life on the road.
