yesterdays hold the clues
today gives little answers
the future is hopefully due
as slowly the world turns
time can be so fleeting
to what it is we’re really seeing

killing each other for money and land
hurting each other as best as we can
so can you tell me? do you know?
why we put human life so low
peace don’t sell, religion don’t work
among those are a bunch of jerks
there is no answer, it is how we are
at the rate we’re going we won’t get far

don’t get me wrong, i love love
and peace is what i strive for
but too many of us have to hate
and unfortunately have sealed our fates

and they’re killing us in so many ways

look at the blood on their hands
they don’t even to care
it’s best we make a stand
but do we even dare?
cause to do so means more blood
when all we want is peace
when all we want is love

all the politicians suck
for themselves they only give a fuck
the new one turn the same as the old
for blood is not as good as gold
so it leaves us using violence
just to get some peace
the hypocrisy just won’t cease!

why do we do this to ourselves?
to have to kill to get what we need
even to make this world better
the evil will have to bleed

ohhh no!

evil will have to bleed
but who will be the judge?

to remove the evil
blood must spill
but then we are doing
the very thing we detest
but this is man
this is mankind
for good or for evil
many seem to have to die
and i don’t know why
i just don’t know why!
