Everybody has a hole
And we try to fill it up
To take away the emptiness we feel inside
We fill it up with good and bad,
With not so good and not so bad
But only one thing fills the hole
Let he who has ears listen

The “sex, drugs and rock and roll”
Mentality is getting old
It feeds the flesh but starves the soul
Let he who has ears listen
Though intimacy plants the seed
And medicines can cure disease
Though music brings a moment’s peace
These alone are not the answer

You fill this endless pit with things
Clothing, toys and diamond rings
The emptiness, still it screams
In spite of your possessions
Addictions try to fill the void
Obscures the Truth, creates a noise
Only One can fill the hole
Let he who has ears listen

We all look for that missing part
A yearning deep within our hearts
It started with that shining star two thousand years ago
The Father sent to us the Son
To pint the way, to lead us home
Know Him and you’ll fill the hole
Let he who has ears listen

Fill it up
For He has risen
