The fourth of fifteen songs completed for RPM/FAWM. The obligatory swing ballad. Are swinging ballads obligatory? This song is one of two in this year’s batch that has an alto saxophone part. 100 years ago I went to music school as a sax player. I left school in 1991 and barely acknowledged my horns existence and focused on guitar. Now my step daughter is taking sax lessons in school and she inspired me to take it out this year. My playing is awful, and after 20 minutes of playing my head is pounding and my lips and jaw won’t move anymore. Ah, wind instruments!
