Down The Coast

So, I’ll drink up, beautiful,
I’ll leave bottles, up and down the coast,
When I get to that light house,
I’ll burn it down, and laugh.

Skeletons rise up to meet me,
In a place where the waves touch the beach,
And hollowed bones, broken skulls, and tattered thrones,
Shackled chains, and telephones.

So, just one more cigarette,
Yeah, just one more, I’d bet.
Just one more falling out,
One more shot of doubt.

I’ll chew on my lips,
They’ll bleed, for weeks.
Blood shot eyes in the mirror never lie,
I’ve not been sleeping, but surely I’ve tried

So I’ll sleep underseas,
Who I am will be far out of reach.
And hallowed notes, broken hope, and tattered homes.
Shackled moans, god damned broken telephones.

Just one more cigarette,
One more pack, then I’m done, I bet.
Just one more falling down,
One more flask of doubt.

So, I’ll drink up, beautiful,
I’ll leave bottles, up and down the coast,
For you.

Read em, if it ever suits you.
Yeah, read em, when they finally do.

Hey, thanks for the kind words. Took your suggestion, Andrew, and added a little on the end.

I think this is so good I can't figure out anything sensible to say. I LOVE this song and how you've recorded it.
