“Six Years” was written and recorded on April 27-28, for the April 2024 REM Challenge (via RPM Challenge).

A quick write-and-record short song to submit for the April 2024 REM Challenge. Half truthful, half tongue in cheek. I recently defended my dissertation, which was a culmination of my pursuit of a PhD over the past six years. So now, what’s next?
Recorded in one take; I’m aware there is a mispronunciation of a lyric, but I couldn’t be bothered to record another take. Recorded live on my phone (Pixel 4a) using a Seagull Entourage acoustic guitar and my voice.
