A song I wrote to the wonderful guitar piece by Darrin Kobetich from Texas. The music is called Asphalt River from Darrin's album The Longest Winter. Thanks Darrin! Played on the BBC. Thanks Beeb.
I wrote this without a musical reference which was a big thing for me as I always had written to others music. Kavin did a wonderful job and then I got Norm to add percussion. This track is my most successful.
Written for an RPM. The music came first via Brian Bazeley and this is what came of it. Gary Essex added some gentle percussion. I just found this one lurking in my files and decided it should be part of my Alonetone list.
Original music by my dear friend Brian Bazeley. Tess and I filmed the video and Tess did all the hard work, editing. Thanks Babe. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_CHLQ0o3Yo&t=143s
Original and gorgeous music by Kirk Lynch. Thank you Kirk. This is a song about the dream of retirement finally being realised. For Ian

Modernist avant garde NYC based composer/musician Glenn Branca passed away earlier this week. This fretless guitar functioning as a midi controller driving a 4 voice synth patch created in Pure Data is with him in mind.

Love your vocals! Slide guitar shines here too, very cool modulations there.

First joined Alonetone in March 2009 after a very enjoyable time backing singing for my daughter Tess, (Sister Savage) who gave me the encouragement to go it alone. Haha! Being here was the best time. During a bad patch of throat problems I had to give up but carried on writing songs. After being out of it for some time I have re-joined and put up a few of my favourite tracks. I want them to live, I suppose.
I have been honoured by some very talented musicians who gave me their music so that I could write songs around them. Some made musical arrangements for my own songs, which I understand isn’t that easy. A huge thank you to all of you - for everything! Really now that I am getting older I feel I need somewhere to put some of my tracks. If you listen to any, thank you so much. Bethan Mathis
