About "Customer for Life"

I was in this Boston bookstore/café with a really cramped floorplan. On the way in the store, you have to trip over the customers who are trying to leave. This one time, I nearly knocked heads with the hostess at the café, who observed that "we almost kissed!" I know some stores are getting fairly touchy-feely these days, but this brought things to a whole new level. I figured, if people in retail are willing to bring some romance to the customer relationship, what if I brought a little customer relationship to some romance?
