Here is a completely acoustic (and quite rough, honestly) recording of Dan playing the ukulele.
This was actually a first experiment recording with a home made contact microphone held to the body of the ukulele with gluetack.
It was essentially successful (picks up the sound with little noise during playing) BUT is quite sensitive to handling noise. The setup can be improved for the future, but this first recording was quite rough and not all of the handling noise could be removed.

The sound straight from the contact microphone is super ultra dry (there is no ‘room’ sound and very little sound from the body of the instrument), this also makes it quite biased towards the high frequencies so it sounds very “small”.
I was able to correct for some of that with EQ, acoustic body simulation and a little echo and reverb to add room space.
