Who will break this ice
sleepwalking through the pines
Said I won’t tell you twice
100 million times
You can’t pay the price

We’ll never get the bill
You don’t need to atone
And though it’s such a thrill
To heave the first stone
Hells no place to be filled

There is no other place
No great beyond
Heaven is for real
But it’s your backyard
And everyone gets in
Without titles or names
It’s the keeping folks out
Is where the hell begins

Im always on the nose
But simple things like this
I can’t find good prose
I just tell it how it is
What feels most true

I forget all the time
Like some bad dream
And I bump into people
While we all sleep
One day we’ll see
