RISE - One Man's Prayer

I wrote this song in September of 2021 (my first official release, on the piano) originally with all the good folks in mind, who were suffering through “lockdowns”, all around the world.

But upon completing it, I realised that it was coming on RUOK Day… which occurs only once in the year… as such, I decided to release it early.

To all those hard-working people, who have lost, or are on the verge of losing your business… you are in my thoughts.

To all those innocent people (both men and women) who are literally trapped with your abuser/s … you are in my thoughts.

To all those alienated parents, whose exes are using the lockdowns as an excuse for you NOT to see your children … you are in my thoughts.

And to all those children who have no clue as to why they now live in an effective open-air prison; and who are suffering from suicidal thoughts, and feelings of self-harm …

You are in my thoughts.

My offering is very little, I know… but just know that in the depth of the quiet, lonely and desperate nights, my strength, my love and my heart, are with you all.

Truly, united we stand… divided, we fall.
