He’s red and rusty
Battered and bent
Sits in the field alone

Even through the winter
He sits there and waits
To touch he’s as cold as stone

You can still smell the diesel
See the wear
From all the work he’s done

But come the spring
Turn over the engine over
And watch this old guy run

With a growl and a chug
Hell keep on going
Cutting down the grass

Big red the tractor
like a family friend
Still got a change of pace

Fill up with water
Charge up the battery
Then away hell go

Long grass, paddocks
No mater what
Hell just Mow and mow and mow

Been around this place
Since the year of 53

Dodgy gears
Everything’s clunky
Been aruund longer than me
