I made this for the Deluge discord group challenge to make an SNES style groove. The idea behind it was to make some fantasy game music that tells a little story and expresses some of my feelings as the crappy 2025 ends and a hopefully better 2026 begins. I spent more time collecting and converting SNES game samples and creating instruments and kits than working on making the actual song sequences and arrangement. I used only samples from the game Chrono Trigger. I also spent a lot of time studying the music from the game. It was a fun project. I used the new stem export feature on the Deluge community firmware and polished it up in Audacity. Really cool feature.
