Nuclear Outcasts (remaster)
ankhaos
Track 8 for Nuclear Outcasts, originally released in 2011, now with a remaster.
Let’s be honest, the album is overall a bit naïve, not much can be done there, so this time around I wanted to deprioritize painful kind of naïve elements, and emphasize the fun naïve elements. Hopefully I succeeded there. As a result, the lyrics are probably less intelligible now, which is really for the best.
Gear used for this song:
• Instrumental → Korg TR
• Vocals → Some Shure or AKG mic, don’t remember :^)
• Editing:
= = • 2011 version → Reaper
= = • 2026 remaster → Audacity
@StephenMoore glad you liked a few of the songs, even though you yourself lean more toward the ostensibly Zappaesque. It means a lot to me <3 I have to disclose something: that's no organ. It's the vocals band of the original audio with noise reduction set to remove sounds that aren't strictly noise, plus a very long delay, plus a helluva lot of distortion, plus overlaying with the same audio pitched down by an octave. I wanted to get a simple echo effect on the vocals to make the music hazier, but the result came out bit trippier, which I don't mind :p Hope that didn't ruin the fun for you, though
