Trying to simplify my life, after overcomplicating it for many years. The at-home Covid life has left me lots of time but not enough all at once. This year I welcome the chance to produce a single track, with more time spent on it to get it sounding mistake-free (or at least fewer mistakes) than previous RPM’s. Opting for a full-midi approach leaves it feeling a bit sterile to my ears. However I always strive to create music that I like that I haven’t heard before and I think that much has been accomplished. Is it jazz? Pop? Experimental? Classical? I don’t really know. It is a soundtrack to my existence in February 2022.
