Notes: This is the year that we were invited to perform a solo concert at Carnegie Hall(no competition). Mr. Martin had originally sent in an audition tape for the competition we were supposed to have but they ended up canceling it because they could not find any top quality choirs. “This was not the case, however, with the 57 voice Wade Hampton Singers.” So they invited us to perform a solo concert as a prelude to the Rutter Requiem (Conducted by John Rutter).
