The Promise of Heaven

This material feels very religious, but I am not. It’s all a bit more ambiguous than you might think. This and my last group of songs are also not a part of my memory, rather a part of the here and now.

This is a second suite of songs, a companion to the last group of five. #3/3. Recorded November 2nd & 3rd.

[addendum] This is the only song out of the whole bunch of the ones I made in October and November that I’m unhappy with. I mean I love it, and it’s in the top ten, possibly the top five, of everything I’d done. BUT. It doesn’t have enough breathing room, enough space. The pacing, the timing… Also, it’s too long. I’m going to try to fix these things when I get a little less lazy. BUT. I’m notorious for throwing away my project files when I’m done, so the best I have to work with is a stereo flac file. We’ll see what I can do with that, and if I get something I can live with I’ll tack it onto the end of this set.
