I’m certain from here to Birmingham the premise is determined by whose the flyest to furnish the microphone like curtains but it’s burning
Down the house with the most magnificent of verbage I’m earnest
honestly sometimes its feels like a burden
But if I could do some good rather than just show off my prowess
Give power to those who feel like cowards in this ungodly hour
And actually show that God’s side is also ours
Then I’d ride that pride til the whole mic got devoured
As it stands now I battle against phantoms I imagine
While our people are treated like animals in a famine
cannibalized after the wipe out of rations
homes and domes are smashed in equal frightful fashion
Bashed in by like a bastion of a cast of cops and robbers
Partners in politics the latter are actually addressed by your honor
Without honor but the shame dont seem to bother
Rather it seems they only get stronger
Days get short night gets longer
Somber time are upon us but that’s when we stand the most honest
To tell them they won’t conquer all of it it
Our minds our soul our heart they might rip apart our physical
Like jesus
and we’d just rise again like that son of man I mean it
They still won’t recognize and it feels demeaning
But I’ll keep my feet forward and keep deep breathing
Even while I’m seething and seeing stars and all sorts of shapes
Trying to escape before it all devolves into hate
I’ll take my time and wait keep the faith in my arsenal
Tend to the poor oppressed downtrodden and marginal
That’s all I can do and really nothing more important
Live a life of meaning to waste it you really can’t afford it
Walk towards it when you see the light of love beaming bright
But also bring it out yourself it’s deep inside don’t fight
Who you really are a child of the most high made in his likeness
What is a king to a god well you might be both your highness
And I’d let that revelation sink deep into your psyche
but hold it with humility cuz conceitedness is unsightly
You’re meant to use it in service to your fellow man who needs you
And in return is true fulfillment for real itll really feed you
And see you beyond merely the earthly so when it’s all over
Your time as a soldier is seen dearly where you’ll go is seen clearly
And the the fear will dissipate give way to the most anticipated
Ready for what’s next and that transition’ll be celebrated
So set set your feet beneath you face forward and harness that power
This is your time now go towards it meet it this is your hour
The sour will hate and complain try to get into your brain
And stain it don’t claim it abstain from that type hatred and you’ll make it
I’m fated to take it to new heights beyond where the stars shine the brightest
