jesse wrote this one and sings lead. basic guitar, vocal and banjo were recorded live with a room mic.

sometimes when you listen to one musician exclusively for an extended period of time you try to write a song as if you were that musician.

this song is older then your grandparents.

jesse tricked me into playing slide on this. didn't tell me he hit "record". good, since i would have worried about messing up his song.

i like writing "small" songs. not short, small. this song feels small to me. hence the ukelele.
