This cut was made right after operation Shock and Awe started. I wanted to try and capture the feel of being an innocent civilian caught in the middle of it with helicopters flying around…gun-fire swirling around, etc. It’s particularly a tribute to the people of Iraq because it uses a sample of Ronald Shannon Jackson playing the Schalmei, one of the oldest instruments known to civilization…dating back to the place that has been known as Baghdad.
