I`m an inspirational classic, american rap musician.By that I mean 1983-1993(First Generational Rap music).Where rap lyrics were the center-piece and the soundtrack was "best supporting actor or actress".As compared to today`s rap music.Where soundtrack is first, then rap lyrics the background accompany piece. So,I can say that if you want to get better with voice power, inflection.Pick a song that brings strong emotions for you.The rest will "be history".Giving a more powerful delivery.
Good voice. You could just use more inflection, rhythm changes, and a variety of moods to your song tracks. That require different types of lyrical delivery in your vocals.
I really dislike Nickelback, I just wanted to throw that out there. Secondly, I would work on improving your range. Your voice is nice, but if you were able to hit both higher and lower notes, your singing ability would improve tenfold. I also suggest singing with more power. I would understand if it was a folk song, but there needs to be more soul and power backing your voice. Lastly, I STRONGLY recommend you learn a few other instruments and study music theory. If you improve your voice and learn, let's say, guitar or the piano, you'll be making music in no time! Practice, practice, practice. That's what it is all about!
