Somewhere, something
has turned a wing
and left a branch dancing
grey days, grassways
there’s a stowaway seed
in the cuff of my jeans
baby willow
it’s the only place you’ll ever know

blue vein in my head
gets the blood back down
to where my blues are fed
black cloud in my mind
if it clears I fear
what the light will find

let’s find a place
where we can go

I’ve been thinking
about how I’d like
to start again
cold stars in the sky
their heat can’t reach
but still they shine
