The rose of sharon is blooming again
Summer’s slowly approaching its end
No kids are playing, no slip n’ slides
Hotter than hell but I don’t know why
Cut the grass, shouldn’t be that hard
Empty bottle lying in the yard
Is it trash or is treasure?
I find a map and a warning letter that says

Get away from here while you can

Now the kids are back in school
Empty bedrooms, power tools
Some oak planks and Goodwill sheets
A lot of rope, 10,000 feet
Chart a course, cartography
Edge of the world on open seas
