Cover of the mournful powerful Steve Earle song Goodbye Michelangelo written for the late and wonderful, sadly missed Guy Clark who was Earle’s longtime mentor. I’ve been under the influence of Harry Partch the last several days and developed a patch this week in Pure Data in anticipation of using for the June 21-22 Sound-In event. It’s based on 7 lowered ratios from Partch’s 43 ratio scale. I wasn’t sure what I was going to do whether go with natives tones or native tones and an instrument. A random find of the Earle song spoke to me to infuse and make a very lose cover.
