I did some work this week again with sine tone oscillators in Pure Data. I’m trying to gain a better understanding of Just Intonation. I had refined this patch like most of my Pure Data work with the idea of creating something live in the patch meaning I’m recording and playing via loop tables. In this case I was triggering operators with the mouse and use pre-produced envelopes for each of the 4 oscillators. Each loop table was @3 seconds. I began with the frequencies inspired by a recording of whales though my chosen frequencies were higher. I began at 111.731, 121.731, 141.731 and 161.731 and gradually incrementing 20hz up ever 4 to 6 loop cycles ending at 261.731.
