The Smiling Moon (Alani Aloha)

A song for a friend who just passed away. He was the first person to take one of my songs and make it sound like a “real” song! He was a professional musician with a big heart and smile to match. Something amazing is that the morning after I wrote this song, a “smiling moon” actually appeared in Hawaii skies! I had no idea what phase the moon was in at the time - I just associated his smile with a memory of seeing a big smiling moon when I was living on Kauai.
