This one came together rather quickly – maybe a total of one half hour total to quickly compose and record each track one after another.

For those with an interest in such things:
The drum track was “played” on a Korg KARMA keyboard workstation. This fine electronic instrument has the unique ability to generate MIDI note event data in real-time, guided by the user’s control of a bank of 8 knobs. Those knobs control the relative “busy-ness” of the bass/snare tracks, the dynamics with which the tom-tom drum membranes are struck, the level and panning values of certain other drum tones, et al. I.e., the basic rhythm and patch settings were programmed by the Korg factory folk, while I the “player” controlled those sort of parameters that influenced the generation of the actual note data in real-time. That technology was developed by a man named Stephen Kay at Korg; his software routines have since been worked into other Korg and Yamaha products as well.
