I composed this tune in 2009. I wrote part of the melody after a European vacation back in 2006 and didn’t complete the piece until a few years later. It’s named after the first town I visited in Sicily on the outskirts of Palermo. It used to be a small fishing village but is now a vacation spot for Sicilians in the summer months. Mondello lies between 2 cliffs and is lined with beautiful villas on the Mediterranean Sea.
