Things people say, I’m reminded till this day.
I pretended it had no weight on me, ignored and carried on.
Years later I’m reminded. So I put it in this song.

“You think you own this place” - when I was in despair and felt disgrace.
“You’re not suited” - from the hater just acting out, just wrong.
Yeah, I had no time to reply, sorry I was already gone.

Your only mistakes were that you hated, ganged up to make me feel like I was useless. As I was a piece in the puzzle you could not fathom…
Set me up for torture, left me in the dark.
When we were all part of the bigger picture.
Yeah, living the dream.
I’m done with distant voices.

This piece was inspired by the previous track I made in collaboration with Richard Shekari. To me, it is about PTSD and being silenced because of guilt, shame etc…. after remembering these things, forgiving those who did wrong in the end.
