      THE CALL OF GOD

I was asleep, going through my life so lonely
Nothing to keep me anchored, I was tossed around
I lived for love, believing it would save me
But my heart fell more than once and I was left alone

I was so blind, I was so wrong
Thinking of myself, I hurt so many souls along the way
At my lowest point You saved me
So quietly, gently You raised me
Your faint whisper growing stronger, calling out my name

T’was the call of God, the call of God

I’m on my way, summoned to the journey homeward
Jesus will keep me anchored, lost now I am found
Don’t get me wrong, I know I don’t have all the answers
But through grace the veil was lifted, I saw I’m not alone

I was so blind …

Why do you sleep, going through your life so lonely?
Nothing to keep you anchored, turning upside down
There is a plan for you, I beg you, believe me
Greater than you can imagine, have faith and you’ll be found

I was so blind …
