I wrote this song a number of years ago - perhaps some time in the mid 90’s and recorded it at the time on cassette tape. This is a new recording of it but produced like the original. It’s about someone I knew who was mentally ill with some form of schizophrenia. His behavior was off-putting to strangers but he was really a good man and struggled always to be his best despite his illness. He passed away a few years ago and I am sure he is at peace in heaven, looking down on us and interceding for those with mental illness.
