I decided to use synthesizers that created their own rhythms and just started layering. This is what happened.

Just the sound of someone breathing, cut up & repasted back together, then run through a couple overdrive units, and the tape going faster as the track gets further along.

A different mix of Turbo Breath

A single word looped, run through a delay unit backwards, then multiple copies run through the delay backwards & forwards, and one copy run through a Ring Modulator, and then mixed back together.

A single word, looped, run through a delay, then paulstretch, sped-up a couple hundred times, pitch shifted down, then mixed with a an overdriven & stretched out 909 rhythm.

It's the kind of thing a painter would do, to name the colors you see in front of you. But it's also a way to notice, and maybe even remember what you see.
