Some Nights Are Grey

Some Nights Are Grey
Chorus:
Some days feel great, most days make me pray.
With You, I’m never alone.
Some nights are cold, most nights are grey—
But to You, Lord, I belong.
Some roads seem clear, most paths go astray.
But You, Lord, steady my song.
Some hearts bring cheer, most drift away—
Still with You, Lord, I am strong.
Verse 1:
I don’t want the riches, don’t need the fame,
Don’t care if the world forgets my name.
I just want to stand where angels sing,
Lift my hands and praise the King of Kings.
I don’t seek the throne or fortune’s crown,
Just grace enough to lay it down.
I don’t crave applause or diamond rings,
Just a heart that worships the King of Kings.
No crown, no gold, no silver chain—
Just a heart made whole in Jesus’ name.
Let me sing, though my voice be cracked and plain,
Let me kneel in truth and not look back again.
Verse 2:
Every breath I take, I’m drawing near,
To the Holy place where love casts fear.
Every dream I chase ends at Your feet,
Where glory and mercy gently meet.
I don’t need reward, I don’t need gain,
Let me praise through joy and through pain.
I was made to adore, to You I run,
From the rising and falling of the sun.
