You Are Unchangeable

While trapped in the dark,
I called on Your name;
You came and shone Your light.
The one who held me there
Fled and never turned—then I knew You’re the Light.

You paid the price for my pride,
And for the lies they fed me, dear Lord, through the night.
You pulled me, Lord, from the tides,
And laid me gently by Your side—
You’re my rest, Lord, through the night.

You showed me two roads, then pointed to the one that leads to life.
You told me You’d be by my side—
You’re the Life, the Truth, and the Light.

I wandered far from home,
Chased shadows that left me cold,
But You, Lord, healed my wounds.

And taught my soul to stand.

You washed me clean from all my shame,
