While drowning in despair, I called Your name — through the storm and shadowed clouds;
You wrapped me in love and called my name, and drew my soul from the dark.

While covered in shame, I called Your name — and You came riding through the clouds;
You shone from within and called my name, then clothed me wholly in Your light.

My dreams were eaten by worms, bound in shadows and chains — with an endless desire yet to be set free.
My chains, though rusted, lay buried deep within my feet — yet I prayed each night to be set free.

You came alone in the night and broke my chains — You set this captive free.
You washed my feet and healed my wounds; in love, You rescued me. Chorus

Holy, holy is the Lord — whose presence mends the broken heart.
Exalt His name in endless praise — His love knows no bound or part.
Bring your burdens to the Lord — His mercy flows like a gentle stream.
