Friends. How many of us have them.

I have known you many years
We survived the ups and downs my friend it would appear
Had your back a million times
And when you got the chance you did for me in kind

We just seem to get along
Playin’ guitar and singin’ songs
And when you need a lift I’ll never try to let you down
Like the sky is to the Earth my friend I’ll always be around

Stickin’ with you ain’t been so bad
You’re the best friend I ever head
Every moment together has shown me
What a journey life can be
Don’t ask questions, tell no lies
We’re a better combination than a burger and fries
I’ve said it before and I repeat
You’ve got a friend for life in me

Never will forget the time
Was it her or what’s-her-face man she was so damn fine
But skirts you know they come and go
Still you I value most in my portfolio

We just seem to get along
Sure we fight don’t get me wrong
But I’ll be there for you and try to never let you down
Like the stars up in the heavens I will always be around

And who knows how much time is left
All I know is you’re the best –– you passed the test

And we have had so many laughs
I just wanna make it last –– that’s all I ask
