the ever-present interest in arbitrarily non-silent coexistence
So?ing Machine
track 7 from the album “Une Histoire de DMs avec Bleu” — more info: https://saltbearer.dreamwidth.org/2992.html + https://soingmachine.bandcamp.com/album/une-histoire-de-dms-avec-bleu
an album is supposed to end with a nice, gentle drone track to ease the listener’s ears out of things.
it’s really supposed to end with a repurposing of textures from earlier tracks and be so reserved that it’s to the point of near-inaudibility, but those elements weren’t part of the current energy. the current energy is wanting to drop some deep, dark drone in my friend’s DMs and curl up underneath it.
one of their favorite albums is “Living Exponentially” by tstewart (an alias of Machinedrum). now that right there’s an album what ends perrrty gooood.
the title is from a message I sent to them when I wanted to just chat about anything — “a verbalization of the ever-present interest in arbitrarily non-silent coexistence suddenly appears”
