In an interview, David Lynch once called Eraserhead his most spiritual film. When asked if he wanted to expand on that, he replied “no”.

This might be my most spiritual song.

[Verse]
My head is spinning like the vinyl skipped
Each repeated thought, cut off mid-line
Stuck in debate, with a reflection
For someone sleeping just outside.

[Pre]
Flashes of the artificial, blend into the mist ,
A kaleidoscope of feelings, I’m not sure exist.

[Chorus]
Drowning in a sea of colors, saturated spectral sheen
Momentary passion got me playing make-believe
Drenched in the surreal, like something in a Fulci scene
Where styrofoam cooties, are crawling all over me.

[Verse]
Artificial daylight, paints the tile walls
Clear as day, but will it stay till sunrise.
A novel touch, from the unfamiliar
Only works a single time.

[Pre]
Buzzing of things I ingested, blending with the natural
Reasoning with that mixture, seem irrational.

[Chorus]
Deluged in a flood of colors, washed in psychedelic sheen
Momentary passion got me playing make-believe
Dollar-store perfume, wafting through the Zone’s anomaly
Like Styrofoam cooties, crawling all over me.

[Bridge]
Tingling in excitement, before the numb returns.
Filling up the emptiness with more than it deserves.
Attenborough narration, explains the ritual
Mondo-doc of acts more perverse than intellectual.

[Chorus]
Showered in a wash of colors, like an Technicolor stream
Momentary passion got me playing make-believe
Blue Velvet caressing, a Lynch-like lucid dream
Where Styrofoam cooties, are crawling all over me.

[Outro]
Drowning in a sea of colors saturated spectral sheen
Momentary passion got me playing make-believe
Drenched in the surreal, like something in a Fulci scene
Where styrofoam cooties, are crawling all over me.

Saved!
