Adjustment
Permanent Tourist
So I moved to North Carolina to be closer to family and it’s been a good experience. However it was tough to leave some people behind. This song is about that.
BTW, there is a riff about 8 minutes in written by my buddy Chris Schugg
LYRICS:
I am strumming my spinal chord
Reflex my own reward
Hey there I bet you I’m having fun
I will play but I might get bored
unless we’re keeping score
Hey there I bet that you thought you won
This has been a bit of an adjustment
Something I will muddle through
Found myself a different way to state it
Now I am a wiser fool
Feel it running up through my spine
yet nothing comes to mind
Hey there I thought you heard everything
I said yes still I might decline
unless you get behind
Hey there I thought I had time to win
You know what?
I wish I would
I wish I would
You know you
did what you could
did what you could
Get it together
Let’s take this from the top
I know just what to do
I’ve found some words to say so
listen up for clues
I’ve got some words to say
Correct
my posture
I
am an impostor
I am standing ever taller
than I ever have before
I’m not at your beck and call or
else you’ll be the one ignored
Everything’s becoming smaller
everything’s on tape delay
Don’t know if I can hear you
Suppose it’s better this way
Fantastic.

Like the riffs....just not crazy about the mono-ish mix. Cool vox. At 1:00 in, the riff is a little sloppy sounding, mostly due to the drums not interlocking with the bass and guitars. Kind of reminds me a little bit of Helmet, during the Betty era.
Well done! This track is of epic proportion, every minute is exciting. A totally great listen. Superb finale!
