The relief that comes with death
The total and absolute darkness
But also the brightest light there is
That blinds my spiritual eyes

The sound of angels singing
And loved ones who have gone before me
Telling me how much they miss me
And some who didn’t see me grow up
Telling me they saw me grow up anyway

Time passes differently on the other side
It’s not linear, it’s more like a spiral
No beginning, middle or end
No past, present or future

But sometimes there’s just nothing
The total and absolute silence
And my poor soul in the middle of it all
But also in the middle of nowhere

Nothing
Silence
Darkness
Emptiness
