Many moon ago I had to travel around the world ( this will date it) i had my walkman but forgot my cassettes. I went into the airport shop, The only one i recognised was a Kiwi band called Split Enz (legendary NZ band - morphed through one brother to Crowded House). So for for to many hours and days i listened to them exclusively! Once i remembered this the other day i knew i had to try something a bit wacky like them! This was my attempt. There were times today when i wish i hadnt - oh my the timing was difficult! for all that effort i have to mark this a favourite. But hey it is fun!
I See the angry ghost
Returning from the rugged coast.
She picks a golden flower,
In the shadow of the towns clock tower
Standing near the iconic stone
With a style that i s just her own
Like some amusing dancer,
Doing what will advance her
She’s not alone she spy’s a fly,
a pet alpaca, and a butterfly.
None realise whats at stake
Only care for the next tax break
she finds it hard to see the net,
Only playing red on roulette.
Who is that soaring near the box
It seems just like a paradox
She soars just like an eagle,
needs more gas, but still looks regal.
not alone when she sits by the pond,
Has a pet owl, with feathers blonde
She likes to run and chase a petal,
until the singing of the kettle.
She’s not alone she brings a bowl,
a pet wolf, sits on the grassy knoll.
Throwing over shoulder salt?
Trying to see whose at fault
She throws a ball with a curve
then she sits to obverse.
Her mind is soft like chalk,
Maybe its time to take a walk
Hope its helped to ease the pain
the song that comes around again
I See the angry ghost
Returning from the rugged coast.
She picks a golden flower,
In the shadow of the towns clock tower
Standing near the iconic stone
With a style thati s just her own
Like some amusing dancer,
Doing that which will advance her

Trying to see whose at fault
She throws a ball with a curve
then she sits to obverse.
Her mind is soft like chalk,
Maybe its time to take a walk
Hope its helped to ease the pain
the song that comes around again
and again and again and again
