Day 13

I rolled out of bed this morning
Got into my truck, and waved goodbye
I wish I had the chance to
Hold you in my lonely arms
One more time

Why not try to get a bigger slice of pie
Why not think about your life?
By and by, by and by

This old town just got too boring
Without you around, my country girl
So, I decided to take my chances
To get into that truck and see the world

I’m not sure, just what tomorrow brings
I’m not worried about much of anything
I’m sure I’ll find my way

Maybe I should get back home and set things right
With my country girl
I bet she won’t come looking for me
In some other corner of the world

I’m not sure she’ll forgive me of my sins
I’m ready to try almost anything
I hope she’ll come around

I really lost my head this morning
Was down on my luck, and took a Ride
Someday I will get away
See what fortunes I can find
