Lost In The Labyrinth of Nightmares

This song is about getting lost in a labyrinth of the mind, reliving unpleasant moments, exploring what terrible things might have happened or could happen in the future, while fighting and trying to escape and wake up. On the Deluge I used the Harsh 909 kit to build up a beat, and my Meld Arp preset for the shimmery backdrop (four notes that I toggled on and off manually). I improvised with keys and knobs to control the Atreus preset on my Typhon monosynth for the lead, which I found to be quite mutable and interesting. I created some variance in the drums by creating a duplicate layer with an added delay effect in Audacity, and faded between the two layers at a few points.
