Mix by Metamere. Drones by Metamere, Wil (Coyote Senate), David X. McKinna, and AMUC. I generated my drone in one take using my Fantasy preset on the Dreadbox Typhon. The topic for the month was a party themed drone with three phases: preparation, party, and aftermath, with no key or scale specified. I didn’t think the final set of four drones stuck to that scheme all that close, but the mix Wil submitted still turned out pretty cool, though with the individual parts mostly obscured. I took this mix in my own direction by post-processing and editing in Audacity, with some envelopes, reverb, phasing, panning, stretching, and shifting, and with a fair bit of effort to reduce parts I found unpleasant and to highlight the parts I found interesting.
