Synths Can Lead The Way

I made this on Friday afternoon as a late entry to a contest that may not have been legit, but oh well, I had fun and made a danceable jam. I had to use at least two samples from a specific sample pack featuring synths and saxophones. I built up a rhythm using the 808 kit on my Synthstrom Deluge, and chopped up and sequenced from a couple of the samples to make the sax line and the squelchy synth bass. I improvised with the violin patch I made on my Korg Minilogue xd and a synth lead patch I made on my Dreadbox Typhon, which I controlled using a Keystep 37. I recorded things live onto SD card on my mixer, then transferred to PC to adjust volume levels in Audacity, add the fade out, and export to mp3. It’s not super polished, but I’m happy with what I was able to produce in such a short timeframe, and I hope some others will enjoy it as well.
