When I started recording for the 2019 RPM Challenge, I wasn’t in a good place. I really envisioned the completed album to be mostly dark and a bit brooding with maybe a hopeful ending. I’m thankful it didn’t go that way. This opening track was recorded with that in mind. Start out on the mellow and introspective side and then make it go minor and dark.

At least it contrasts well with its counterpart, “…And The End.”
