It’s the most honest, from the gut song I have ever written. The music, sans the lead vocals and guitars, has been sitting around for at least 4 years. I came home from a hard and emotional day, and sang about the day that my little family and myself went to check on my mom, and she had passed away. The lyrics are almost embarrassing to me, because they are 100 % truthful.
