Like closing music for short credits.
For when paranoia is THE excuse to never venture outside.
I don’t worship the ocean but I get why people DO that.
Trying to make a standard comforting guitar thing fit the project by doing a drum track was a thing I tried. Sometimes “syncopation” deserves no sympathy.
Every time I see a disco ball, I think about how I really hope it’s not about to blow up or fall on someone’s head.
When paranoia isn’t enough of an excuse to avoid the outdoors.
… it does have words but they sucked. So here, a short version. (Lots of the Cool Albums have intros and interludes and such, these days.)
god that title just makes it sound even MORE threatening doesn’t it.
Song will be made from concentrate.
It’s not actually a .wpl file i promise. it stands for the song’s title. which it will have when i start doing vocals, and in this song’s case, an ill-advised rap break.
Oceans of sap, ideally.
It’s about being sick of secrets. Okay it’s about an art museum and free Vimto. Sort of?
do i miss violin or am i just really tired of sequencing right now
anyway, this might have much longer beat-only sections when there’s something to go over them.
all of my songs are coming out paranoid so far, I’m sure it’s just a coincidence tho.
Song for the stir-crazy.
Yesterday was a good day and [open secrets redacted]
a song for the minorly upset who are used to much larger upsets.
Ten sequences/jumping-off points for the NaSoAlMo album. If nothing else, I’ll always have SOMEWHERE to start …
Built a backing track for an already-recorded scratch vocal. It almost even worked!
It seems wrong to call this a minus track, but even wronger to call an electronic, totally-computer-constructed track an “instrumental.” And minus is shorter. I’m overthinking this.
“Man, what if Trent Reznor and Britney Spears had collaborated on a track in the early ‘00s?” wondered probably very few people ever. And that’s where history went wrong.
I’m just trying to set things right.
Backing track-building practice for NaSoAlMo. I’ll come up with words for this … supposedly.
(software: FL Studio 9. time to make: 50 minutes.)
Wondered if I could build a pop-like backing track for one of my old angry guitar ballads, “Rosebush”.
It … did not work. But I had fun.
Also - this is too long to put on the Ringtones list. ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED???
Probably the last ringtone. I’m going to get to song-length awkward audio wrangling, now.
8 second ringtone with fake bass notes.
12 second ringtone with chirpy, almost dance-y keyboard that has just enough time to dissolve into chaos.
3 second ringtone. Chirpy like a morning person on energy drinks.
