Track one of our 2022 RPM album. My buddy Darrell Power of Great Big Sea loaned me his dulcimer for a few months. I wrote this song on it from start to finish in a about 30 minutes one night during the challenge in February.

Break the cycle of work and sleep and work and sleep

Make it over with some paint and a blowtorch.

We'll dot the eye and we'll give it some life. Bring it to life.

Summertime, you know I'm on to you.

This is it, no epiphany.

Sea-monkeys, blue Mr.Freeze. A permanent stain on the carpet of my memory.

I can't stop this wagon we're on. This ride might be our last.

Well I ain't no dog, but I can bite.

Like the dog outside that says it owns the street.

It's one part Revelation, two part Psalms.

My skin gets thicker, covered in needles and spikes.
