I recorded this Fall 2002, by myself, on a really old laptop with really old recording software. It’s just me singing over two tracks of my acoustic guitar, in low C tuning. The two tracks were done in one pass, so it doesn’t sound doubled…I ran the guitar’s pickup direct into the mixer for one track and set up a microphone aimed at the guitar’s top for the other, and reverbed one track and delayed the other, with different amounts of compression on each. I spent a lot of time goofing around with those settings and panning tracks this way and that, stereo-wise, until I had what sounded to me like a spacious sound that wasn’t obviously two tracks through a bunch of effects.
